We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Developer for a contract position supporting critical systems in the investment and finance sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a high-performance environment and can contribute immediately to delivery and handover efforts.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 

• Design and implement Oracle database structures, including schemas, tables, and stored procedures.
• Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Tune database performance through query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Monitor and manage database performance, availability, and security using Oracle tools.
• Perform regular database maintenance, including backups, restores, and version upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and effectively.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to meet project goals.
• Lead database-related development work within larger technical projects.
• Create and maintain documentation for all development and operational processes.
• Stay updated on Oracle technologies and propose improvements for system performance and scalability.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer during handover phases.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Developer.
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience in the investment or financial services sector (required).
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure database solutions.
• Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture and related tools.
• Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and system integration.
• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; Oracle certification is a plus.
