A high-performance Sales Manager is required to lead a specialized "Sales Hub" in Stellenbosch for a global technology firm. This pivotal role involves dual responsibility: managing an international e-commerce team servicing North America, Europe, and the UK, while simultaneously spearheading direct sales and strategic partnerships within the local market. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute leader to drive aggressive growth by identifying new customers, conducting product demonstrations, and managing key industry accounts. Responsibilities:
- Direct a sales team operating across multiple shifts to ensure continuous global coverage.
- Monitor and analyse live chats, emails, and calls to maintain high standards for product inquiries and technical sales support.
- Ensure proper scheduling to meet the needs of various global markets.
- Uphold the highest levels of product knowledge and customer service across all e-commerce platforms.
- Drive revenue growth and expand the local market footprint through proactive sales initiatives.
- Oversee and grow a network of regional resellers and affiliates.
- Manage and nurture relationships with major industry bodies and professional organizations.
- Lead on-site product demonstrations and represent the firm at major industry events and tournaments.
- Coordinate directly with international executive leadership to align local efforts with global marketing and sales objectives.
- Provide regular insights into sales performance, market trends, and team productivity.
- Maintain detailed records within the CRM to execute immediate follow-ups and manage the full sales cycle.
- Maintain a deep understanding of analytical performance data to provide expert insights to clients.
- Support the testing, validation, and approval phases for new hardware and software releases.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in Sales Management, preferably within the golf, sports tech, or luxury hardware industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered where formal qualifications are not present.
- Exceptional verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to work standard business hours, with two days per week requiring an afternoon/evening shift to overlap with international time zones.
- Deep understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) launch monitor technology and data-driven performance metrics.
- Existing relationships within the local golf industry is a significant advantage.
