Hire Resolve's client is looking for a System Analyst to join their team in Cape Town, WC. You will have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans.

This role's purpose is to act as the interface between the Systems Teams, Business and 3rd Parties, through a set of tasks and techniques, to recommend solutions (New and or improved business process, information systems, software applications) that enable the Functional Department/s and Business to achieve its goals. The Systems Business Analyst will service the Financial Services (VAS) and Cellular Business Areas with continued evolution development of FinTech capabilities while maintaining our existing processes.

Responsibilities: 

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements (BRS/BRD) from stakeholders.

• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.

• Lead and support the implementation of FinTech solutions to drive business growth.

• Facilitate successful system integrations between ERP, non-ERP, and eCommerce platforms.

• Ensure adherence to governance principles, including Change Control and Defect Management.

• Manage and support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for new and existing applications.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights for business decision-making.

• Conduct process mapping, modelling, and optimisation to improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure UI/UX best practices and seamless customer experiences.

• Conduct risk assessments, identify process gaps, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Provide training, technical support, and guidance on FinTech platforms and tools.

• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations (POPIA), and emerging technologies.

Requirements: 

Essential:

• Proven track record of implementing FinTech solutions.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the FinTech or financial services industry.

• ±5 years’ experience in apparel retail and systems with exposure to:

  • Business processes (VAS & Cellular).

  • Process optimisation and improvement.

  • Elicitation and documentation of business requirements (BRS/BRD).

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

• Relevant Degree or Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business Studies, Information Systems, or Business Analysis.

Preferred:

• Project Management Diploma/Certificate.

Knowledge

• Solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

• Strong working knowledge of PMBOK and BABOK principles.

• System/service/application implementation and maintenance.

• Business reporting and dashboard creation.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• System integration and ERP/non-ERP environments.

• POPIA compliance and data protection principles.

• FinTech solution implementation to enable business growth.

• SaaS/cloud-based software applications.

• Hardware and software lifecycle management.

• Change control governance and defect management.

• Process mapping tools (e.g., Draw.io).

• UI/UX principles and modelling techniques.
