A leading technology services company with a national presence offers an exciting opportunity to join a team known for innovation and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Security Engineer. This role includes security monitoring, incident detection, and troubleshooting for both internal systems and clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, and is eager to grow within a dynamic SOC environment.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 

• Monitor SIEM platforms for suspicious activity and threats.
• Analyse logs from security tools to detect incidents.
• Assist in investigating and escalating security alerts.
• Support incident response, including containment and recovery.
• Work with senior staff on malware, phishing, and access issues.
• Help manage firewalls, endpoint policies, and vulnerabilities.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and threat intelligence.
• Support compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001).
• Document incidents and maintain SOPs.
• Provide security support to internal and external users.
• Assist in tuning and configuring security tools.
• Collaborate with SOC, network, and IT teams.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

• CompTIA Security+ (Highly Recommended)
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
• Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) – EC-Council
• Fortinet NSE 1, 2 & 3
• Cisco CyberOps Associate
• Fundamentals, CSA, Fortinet NSE 1–3, Cisco CyberOps).
• 2–3 years' experience in IT security, SOC operations, or IT support with a security focus.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, and security monitoring.
• Basic knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and cloud security (Azure, AWS, Microsoft Defender).
