Job Description

A global freight forwarder and logistics company that handles various aspects of supply chain management for businesses is seeking a Workspace Engineer  who will design, implement, and support modern endpoint management solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and the migration from SCCM to Intune.

Responsibilities:
  • Endpoint Migration & Management

    • Lead the technical migration of endpoint management from SCCM to Microsoft Intune.

    • Set up and test Intune enrollment methods (e.g., Windows Autopilot, BYOD, bulk enrollment).

    • Define, implement, and maintain compliance policies (encryption, password rules, antivirus).

    • Integrate Conditional Access with Entra ID (Azure AD) for non-compliant devices.

    • Ensure endpoints meet security baselines.

  • Application Deployment & Updates

    • Inventory, rationalize, repackage, and publish applications via Intune (Win32, MSI, Store apps).

    • Establish self-service app deployment through the Company Portal.

    • Transition and manage Windows Update for Business (WUfB) policies in Intune.

    • Define update rings, deadlines, and monitor compliance through Intune reporting.

  • Configuration, Security, and Reporting

    • Replace legacy Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and SCCM configurations with Intune Configuration Profiles.

    • Implement and maintain Microsoft Security Baselines for Windows, Edge, and Office.

    • Utilize Endpoint Analytics and Device Health reports for proactive maintenance.

    • Build dashboards for compliance, patching, and enrollment health, defining remediation workflows for unhealthy devices.

  • SCCM Co-Management and Decommissioning

    • Enable Co-management for pilot devices and gradually shift workloads (compliance, updates, apps) from SCCM to Intune.

    • Plan and execute the eventual decommissioning of the SCCM infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Windows 11 OS, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Windows Autopilot, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or IT support roles.
  • Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Self-managed (ability to deliver without constant supervision), strong logical/abstract problem-solving, and a thirst for new technology.
  • Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to global, cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and Office 365 migrations.
  • Experience with Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Apple device management via Intune.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience (salary can potentially be more based on experience/skills)
