A leading IT Solutions company is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join their team in Sandton. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Solutions Architect to drive growth across new lines by identifying potential customers, conducting product demonstrations, and recommending application-specific solutions, and closing deals. Responsibilities:

• Develop technical solutions that meet specific business requirements defined by the customer.
• Lead pre-sales, design, architecture, and planning activities.
• Create detailed solution architecture documentation, including diagrams and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct discovery workshops to gather and analyze requirements, offering expert recommendations.
• Design and oversee the integration of solutions with existing systems and applications.
• Ensure solutions comply with security best practices and relevant industry standards.
• Provide guidance and support during the implementation phase.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve designs.
• Provide input into the product development process based on customer feedback.
• Maintain effective and consistent communication with teammates, peers, and leadership.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.

Requirements:

• 5+ Years proven track record as an Architect is mandatory.
• A Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering is required.
• Recent certifications from vendors like Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, or FortiNet will be considered.
• Professional working experience and knowledge of networking, telecommunications, cloud, security, and VoIP is required (Engineering experience will also be considered).
• Excellent understanding of the IT relationship to business requirements.
• Ability to architect solutions in real time (think on your feet).
• Proficiency in documenting solutions and integration designs, both in written (longform) and diagrammatic formats.
• Experience with technology innovation: scouting, screening, trend analysis, and evaluation.
• Experience in feasibility analysis of complex telecommunications infrastructure design.
