Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems/Network Administrator to join our technical team. This role involves deep, hands-on experience in both Linux and Windows environments, advanced networking, virtualization, storage, and cluster management.
Important: This is a CLI-driven role — GUI-only administrators will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Linux Systems Administration
- Advanced administration of Debian (Ubuntu) and RedHat (Alma, Rocky)
- CLI-based provisioning/configuration of servers and devices
- Manual setup of applications (YAML/JSON)
- Performance monitoring and log analysis
Windows Systems Administration
- Manage Windows Server roles: AD/LDAP, DHCP, DNS, NPS, IIS, Hyper-V
- User desktop and file server support
- General Windows Server maintenance
Networking
- Core/distribution/access switching (Edgecore, MikroTik, UniFi, D-Link)
- VLANs, ZeroTier, WireGuard, iptables/nftables
- FortiGate, MikroTik, pfSense configuration
- Network monitoring (Zabbix, Nagios, DataDog, New Relic)
- IPAM/DCIM management
Database Support
- Basic support for Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB (backups, restores, queries)
- Oracle Data Pump, TNS Listener troubleshooting (advantageous)
Hardware & Storage
- SAN, NAS, DAS, LVM, LUN management (HPE, Synology, FreeNAS)
- RAID and HA configuration best practices
- Veeam, Quest NetVault, and LTO tape (advantageous)
Virtualization & Clustering
- Administer XCP-ng/Xen and Hyper-V clusters
- Exposure to VMware vSphere, Docker, Kubernetes (advantageous)
General IT & Soft Skills
- ITIL-based best practices (ITSM), asset management (ITAM)
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Independent, analytical problem-solver
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Audit)
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, MIS, or related field
- A+, N+, MTCNA, ICND1, Linux+/LPIC1, Server+, MCSA (or equivalent)
Preferred Certifications
- LPIC2, MCITP, MTCRE, CCNA, MCSE: Core Infrastructure, ITILv4, Security+
Experience
- Senior-level systems/network administration
- Strong infrastructure design and integration skills
- Understanding of IT SDLC, ITIL, AGILE methodologies
- SQL/database design and query experience
