Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Junior Technician who will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting for various systems, primarily focusing on Point of Sale (POS) systems and related infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn quickly. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the clients' systems, providing timely support, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
- POS System Support (Tourvest/tourrest.co.za):
- Troubleshoot and manage POS systems in restaurant/tavern environments.
- Manage user/waiter accounts, generate reports, and handle database requests.
- Provide daily POS support and input recipe/costing data.
- Hardware and Network Support:
- Configure printers, maintain computers/servers, and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Manage network infrastructure (WLAN, VOIP, WAN, LAN).
- Software and Operating Systems:
- Support Microsoft OS (Windows 11, Server 2022).
- Handle stock control and troubleshooting.
- General Technical Support:
- Provide timely support, document issues, and manage inventory.
Knowledge and Experience:
- POS system knowledge (restaurant/hospitality context, Tourvest/tourrest.co.za).
- User/waiter management and POS reporting.
- POS database request handling.
- Printer configuration and network troubleshooting.
- Stock control and recipe/costing input.
- Microsoft OS expertise (Windows 11, Server 2022).
- Computer/server build and repair.
- Networking fundamentals (WLAN, VOIP, WAN, LAN).
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Punctual, presentable, and a quick learner.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Relevant IT certifications.
- Valid drivers licence.
