Role Overview
We are seeking a driven Junior Sales Consultant to generate new business, manage client relationships, and sell IT products and services. This role combines business development, solution-based selling, account management, and collaboration with technical teams to deliver accurate and profitable IT solutions.
The ideal candidate is target-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable engaging with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Generate leads via cold calling, networking, referrals, and marketing campaigns
- Conduct client meetings and perform needs assessments
- Present tailored IT solutions and proposals
- Negotiate pricing and close sales
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Conduct regular account reviews and follow-ups
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Solution Development & Technical Liaison
- Gather and interpret client technical requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams to design appropriate solutions
- Ensure quotes are accurate, commercially viable, and aligned to client needs
- Translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
Administration & CRM
- Maintain accurate records within Zoho CRM
- Track pipeline activity and forecast revenue
- Adhere to internal sales processes
- Ensure smooth and documented handover to operations
Market Awareness
- Stay informed on IT products, services, and solutions
- Monitor competitor activity
- Understand evolving industry trends and customer requirements
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric (Essential)
- IT or Sales qualification (Advantageous)
Experience
- 2–5 years sales experience (IT or technical sales preferred)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and networking
- Exposure to CCTV solutions advantageous
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts with clients
